UN Hiring Gun Confiscation Specialists with Military Experience

Business is booming at the United Nations! On December 26, the UN announced that it is now hiring DDR officers in New York City. DDR stands for Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration.

Now that Democrats control the entire legislature and governor’s office in Virginia, and are vowing to send troops to disarm all of the lawful gun owners, should we be worried that the UN is hiring disarmament officers just a few hours up the road from the Old Dominion State?

The jubilant and cocky Democrats who were victorious in Virginia in that state’s 2019 elections have been boasting for months that they are going to crack down on lawful gun ownership in the New Year. On the docket: A total ban on semiautomatic rifles and most pistols.

There won’t be a grandfather clause to this ban. Democrats say they will send law enforcement or even National Guard troops into rural Virginia to take people’s guns away if they don’t turn them in. Shut up and obey, or they’ll be coming to your door next.

The backlash to these tyrannical threats has been tremendous. More than 90% of the state’s counties and many cities have declared themselves to be Second Amendment sanctuaries. The citizenry won’t comply, and local law enforcement agencies are promising that they will not enforce any laws viewed as invalid due to directly contravening the Second Amendment.

At least one county has formed a citizen militia to combat any gun confiscation efforts. Democrats aren’t backing down and seem content to try to spark a civil war with their own constituents that they cannot possibly win.

How does the UN fit into this? Hiring DDR officers sounds incredibly ominous, especially when the hiring is being done in New York City. We check the UN’s website and hiring page to learn more about these new job hires.

Here’s how the UN describes the “Disarmament” portion of this gun-grabbing position:

“Disarmament is the collection, documentation, control and disposal of small arms, ammunition, explosives and light and heavy weapons of combatants and often also of the civilian population.”

Uh huh.

Nothing ominous about that.

The DDR job description states that applicants must have at least seven years of relevant military experience in disarming civilian populations. The UN would prefer applicants who have experience working in a multicultural environment, and who have experience working with partner agencies. They also require applicants to have a master’s degree in disarmament, military affairs or equivalent experience.

Perhaps most chilling of all, applicants must be English-speaking in order to be considered for these jobs. As Democrats grow increasingly militant in their calls for disarming everyday Americans, we hear from many military and police forces that say they won’t comply with laws to disarm us. But some military and police officers would, because they are Democrats and/or have a globalist, America Last mindset.

It looks like the UN is specifically targeting those types of soldiers and police who would be willing to disarm people. Why else have the requirements for military experience and English-only?

Where are we supposed to think these DDR officers are headed? If they have to speak English for the job, they’re not going to conduct wrap-up operations to deescalate someplace like Burkina Faso or Syria. They’re going to sent to a multicultural, English-speaking location.

If Virginia governor and Klan dress-up artist Ralph Northam tried to send the National Guard to disarm Virginians, President Trump could shut that down in a heartbeat – and that’s assuming that the National Guard commanders in Virginia would even comply with Northam.

They might tell him to go pound sand, which is the only proper response to gun-grabbing wannabes. But if the UN sends blue-helmeted, English-speaking troops into Virginia, yikes!

For years, Democrats lied to us out of one side of their mouth, declaring, “No one is coming to take away your guns.” In 2019, starting in the Democrat presidential debates, the mask finally slipped. Beto O’Rourke declared, “Hell, yes, we’re coming to take away your AR-15s, your AK-47s.” They are openly and brazenly declaring that yes, they are willing to ban your guns and try to come and take them.

As bold as that declaration has been, Americans have been unconvinced because far too many of our soldiers, sheriffs and police departments have said there’s no way they’ll comply. But if the Democrats are outsourcing that job, well… all bets are off. We’ll keep an eye on this new UN hiring program and keep you updated.
