ObamaGate Proves Even Ex-Presidents Must Be Held Accountable

The country has been plagued with a relentless onslaught of so-called “Gates” harkening back to the run-up to the 2016 elections. Russiagate…Hillarygate…Impeachment…and now Obamagate. The only thing we know for certain is that deep state operatives sought to meddle in the presidential election between Hillary Clinton and now-President Donald Trump. What we didn’t know until recently is that the election meddling came from the Obama administration and not Russia.

What has become clear over the last several weeks is that a small circle of elitists illegally leaked information, lied to a FISA judge to spy on Trump campaign staffers, Trump’s children and former Gen. Michael Flynn. Flynn perhaps got the worst of it as he was targeted and entrapped by high-ranking Hillary-backers in the FBI. Recent revelations point to top officials conspiring against Gen. Flynn as to have a backup to their Russian collusion narrative. Their ultimate goal being to weaken and hopefully oust President Trump and his administration.

“I have no doubt that they were involved in this hoax, one of the worst things ever to befall this country in terms of political scandal. I have absolutely no doubt that Obama and Biden were involved,” President Trump reportedly said. “I’m going to let the attorney general make all of those decisions. I’ve stayed out of it because it’s the appropriate thing to do.”

Early indications point to the ex-president and his flunky, Sleazy Joe Biden, being in on the hit.

If facts support the narrative of recently released declassified documents, it’s time to take the gloves off and prosecute former president Obama and his VP Sleazy Joe Biden.

U.S. Attorney Gen. William Barr appears to agree with the president that his predecessor crossed the line, but he may stop just shy of hauling Obama and Biden into court.

“Not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime,” A.G. Barr said.

While Barr is widely known as a fact-finding prosecutor who also adheres to political tradition, the two-and-a-half centuries of veneer protecting former officials may soon be peeled back. Fair-minded Americans generally agree that Gen. Flynn was the victim of wrongful and politically-motivated misconduct. Not tacking those misdeeds to the person or persons who orchestrated them would only encourage this type of illegal and immoral behavior by our intelligence community.

Americans already know that Obama was pulling the strings of disgraced former FBI and DOJ officials such as James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page. Fired FBI agent Strzok wrote that Obama “wants to know everything we’re doing,” in reference to the phony Russia collusion investigation.

We also know that Strzok and others from “the 7th floor” (a reference to the floor of the FBI building where Comey and McCabe’s offices were located) objected to ending the probe into Gen. Flynn after it was determined no evidence of collusion existed. Obviously, Obama knew that Flynn was being setup and didn’t care.

Hard-charging South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham also appears hesitant to strip away the unspoken Washington-insider rule against holding outgoing officials’ feet to the fire.

“I am greatly concerned about the precedent that would be set by calling a former president for oversight,” Sen. Graham reportedly said. “No president is above the law. However, the presidency has executive privilege claims against other branches of government.”

Many Americans disagree with the esteemed conservative’s view about privilege. Obama took a political courtesy and leveraged it to orchestrate what amounts to a coup.

The establishment media has already begun rolling out its predictable narrative designed to defend Obama and undermine the investigation into wrongdoing. One of the, perhaps, most ironic attempts surfaced on the anti-Trump “Morning Joe” television show. MSNBC invited liberal extremist author and historian Jon Meacham to sling mud at the current president. But given that Obama crossed a line into spying and manipulating law enforcement to influence the 2016 election, one could read his words as an indictment into the ex-president’s character instead.

“(He) just has rejected that civilized veneer, that civilized screen that separates us from the political state of nature. And he’s just taken us straight into a kind of Hobbesian world of anything goes,” Meacham reportedly said. “It’s grabbing at nothing and attempting to mislead just enough people…”

Yes, Mr. Meacham, Obama and his cronies did precisely that and must be held accountable.
