Snopes Accidentally Confirms Democrats’ Impeachment Mania

The Democrat Party’s official fact-checking website Snopes has done it again. While attempting to debunk a popular online meme, Snopes actually accomplished the opposite of its goal. In this case, the meme features and image of Ike Eisenhower and states that Democrats have attempted to impeach every Republican president since Ike.

Snopes then explains in great detail that Democrats attempted to impeach Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and now Donald Trump. Since the Democrats did not attempt to impeach Gerald Ford – the only US president to ever be appointed to the position – Snopes rates the meme as “mostly false.”

Another way to look at is that Democrats have attempted to impeach every elected Republican president since Eisenhower, which makes the meme “mostly true.”

In addition to attempting to remove Republican presidents via impeachment, whenever a Republican actually wins the White House, Democrats immediately begin a years-long conspiracy theory describing how the election was stolen. (And we won’t mention how Democrats resolved the Republican presidencies of Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield and William McKinley).

Immediately after George W. Bush won his second term in 2004, the Kerry campaign complained that the election had been stolen. The culprit: The diabolical Diebold voting machines in Ohio.

Curiously, Democrats never mentioned the Soros-owned Spanish company that was involved in building the Diebold voting machines. Nor did they mention the countless news stories about Republican voters complaining that the machines had switched their vote to Kerry.

If the Diebold voting machines were in fact rigged (which was never proven), all of the anecdotal evidence pointed to them being rigged in John Kerry’s favor. Didn’t matter. Bush had “stolen the election.”

Prior to that, Bush won the 2000 election when the Supreme Court finally ordered Democrat counties to stop recounting the ballots in secret rooms and constantly “finding” boxes of ballots that always mysteriously gave Al Gore just a few more votes. Even though Bush had clearly won the election, Democrats never accepted the loss graciously. The first four years of Bush’s presidency, the constant media/Democrat drumbeat was that the Supreme Court “stole the election for Bush.”

George H.W. Bush won the 1988 election by successfully and repeatedly pointing out the soft-on-crime policies of the Democrat nominee, Michael Dukakis. As Governor of Massachusetts, Dukakis began a first-of-its-kind program that allowed violent felons to be “furloughed.” Felons serving prison time were allowed out of jail on the weekends, because Democrats thought this insane policy would help them to rehabilitate.

A felon by the name of Willie Horton was serving a life sentence without chance of parole at the time. Horton was never going to get out of prison under any circumstance, because he had stabbed a 17-year-old gas station attendant 19 times and stuffed his body in a trash dumpster. This occurred during an armed robbery in which the teenager had fully cooperated with Horton.

Despite being sentenced to life without parole, and therefore not really in any need of “rehabilitation,” Governor Dukakis started allowing Willie Horton out of prison on the weekends in Massachusetts. This worked great until Horton decided not to go back to jail at the end of one of his furloughs. That was in June of 1986.

In April of the following year, Willie Horton showed up in Oxon Hill, Maryland. It was there that he broke into a couple’s home, stabbed the male victim, tied him up and gagged him. Horton then raped the man’s girlfriend twice before stealing his car. Police eventually caught him, and they only had to shoot Horton once to get him surrender. This was the final crime that Horton was convicted of, before being sent back to prison (permanently, we hope).

All of Horton’s subsequent crimes were pinned on Governor Dukakis – as they should have been. Willie Horton would never have been able to go on his crime spree without Dukakis’ furlough program. Horton should never have been allowed out of prison at all.

After Dukakis bragged in a debate that he wouldn’t support the death penalty for a criminal who had raped and murdered his own wife, George HW Bush capitalized on Dukakis’ soft-on-crime policies. Willie Horton was just one piece of that puzzle. Yet when Bush won the election, Democrats spent the following four years claiming that it was a “dirty trick” to tie Dukakis to Horton’s crime spree.

And here we go again! Russian collusion! Donald Trump didn’t win the election – Putin stole it for Trump. Plus, Democrats are trying to impeach the president on the flimsiest and most boring of pretenses. But Snopes tell us it’s “mostly false” that Democrats are sore losers.
