Just as a stopped clock is right twice a day, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) does something correct on rare occasions that prevents him from being thrown out of party leadership like Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) recently was. But only just barely.
Should we like Mitch McConnell and forgive him for all the times he’s tried to sell America out on amnesty for the US Chamber of Commerce? Nope. But did he do the right thing last week by whipping votes against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) ridiculously partisan January 6 Commission bill? Yes, he certainly did. Pelosi’s BS insurrection probe is dead in the water.
For the record, I don’t trust Mitch McConnell as far as I could throw him on most conservative issues. And believe me, I could throw him pretty far using the backyard trebuchet that my homeschooled kids have built during our state’s never-ending coronavirus lockdowns. (If you’ve seen our milk cow, please return her. Trebuchet works great!)
McConnell has been a supreme Swamp Creature for years. Remember when he said he’d like to punch all Tea Party members in the nose? I do. It was during the Obamacare debates, which McConnell failed to prevent from passing.
But… credit where credit is due, Mitch McConnell has done America a solid by shutting down Nancy Pelosi’s ridiculously partisan January 6 Commission bill. Apparently, McConnell got off his lazy duff and actually whipped Republican votes in the Senate to defeat it. Democrats won’t be able to break the necessary 60-vote threshold in the Senate after McConnell convinced wobbly GOP Senators Richard Burr (NC), Jerry Moran (KS), Shelley Moore Capito (WV), Thom Tillis (NC) and Rob Portman (OH) to stand firm and vote “No.”
“Republican” Senators Lisa Murkowski (AK), Pierre Delecto (UT), Bill Cassidy (LA), and Susan Collins (ME) will still join with the Democrats to vote “Yes” on Pelosi’s partisan commission, but it won’t do any good.
What have I been telling everyone all along for weeks now? If we make it past roughly May 1st, Joe Biden and the Democrat Party’s entire agenda will be dead in the water. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) won’t budge on nuking the filibuster from the Senate’s rules, and therefore the Democrats won’t be able to find 10 Republicans on any vote to be able to pass any of the Democrats’ radical leftist agenda.
Gun control, amnesty, the Green New Deal, racial reparations and other pet projects that are only supported by your local community college professors stand no chance of passage. There just aren’t 10 GOP votes available on any of these, which is necessary for them to pass and become law.
Pelosi’s January 6 Commission bill, which is now deader than a Biden voter from Wisconsin, was an entirely cynical and partisan attempt to further demonize Trump supporters in the wake of the Capitol Kerfuffle a few months ago. The commission was stacked with a 6 out of 10 majority in favor of Democrats, since House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) saw fit to appoint one Trump-hating Republican to the commission. That would have given the Democrats broad subpoena power and access to the files of intelligence agencies to not only hunt down Trump voters at their homes in all 50 states but was also essentially a renewed FISA warrant against Donald, Melania, Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka and Barron Trump.
If you want a hilarious take on the defeat of Pelosi’s January 6 Commission, check out what Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) had to say about it. Just as an advance warning, however, Jon Tester is not a very smart person, and he blasphemes and uses a lot of swear words because Democrat voters think that’s a sign of toughness. Here’s what Tester whined to Politico:
“We’ve got to get to the bottom of this s**t. J***s. It’s a nonpartisan investigation of what happened. And if it’s because they’re afraid of Trump then they need to get out of office. It’s bulls**t. You make tough decisions in this office or you shouldn’t be here.”
Awww! Poor baby! Sorry, Jonny Bag-of-Donuts Tester, but your party forgot to mark any of the down-ballot races in the 2020 election, so you don’t have a big enough majority in the Senate to pass anything.

I wonder what Comrade McConnell’s “price” was on this? Ask yourself this too – why hasn’t the GOP(LOL) acted to oust Comrade McConnell from his post as Senate Majority/Minority Leader? Was he elected for life?
I DO NOT TRUST THE GOP. While I HATE the Democrats for what they’re doing to this country, I LOATHE the GOP for selling out repeatedly and doing nothing to stop them.
As we should know all democrats are in politics to make money and line their pockets on the tax payers backs that’s why they stick together and sometimes they eat their own if an individual falls out of line for not following the groups agendas. More power means more money and that’s why they ignore the constitution and try to eliminate key laws established to protect citizens from governmental abuse. A vote for democrats is a vote for socialism and communism no doubt about it.
Especially the RINOs like McConnell. He’s not fooling anyone. He knows his butt is on the line and trying to do a CYA is all but he’s sold us out too many times. HE, Ryan and Boehner.
These so called democrats who are in actuality marxist socialists will do anything and say anything to get/remain in power. If they are successful in attaining the power they seek there will be a repeat of what happened in the twentieth century in Europe and Asia right here in the USA. Millions if not a hundred million conservatives will disappear. In other words be murdered just like over a dozen countries in Europe and Asia during that bloodiest of all centuries the twentieth century. Anyone who was seen as a threat to the power of the dictator will be done away with. hitler, mao and stalin were the worst but there were others, many others, like Idi Amin in Uganda. The claim has been made by Chinese that mao alone murdered over two hundred million law abiding citizens because they were seen as a threat to his power. However, that Chinese number has never been verified because China remains to this day a dictatorship. Which by-the-way supports slave labor in labor camps throughout the nation.
There will be people here who say something like that could never happen here in the United States of America. Well that is what those people said as well. Problem is they were wrong and paid a horrific price for their mistake. That price was their lives! All this happened however after government(s) confiscated the guns. They fell for the reasoning of we will make everyone safer by taking all the guns. It did not it made them even more vulnerable to the government which became the biggest mass murderer in world history.
Those who do not know the history of that bloody twentieth century perhaps should do some research and discover for themselves what happened. It will soon be to late because many of the once available documentaries are no longer available on the internet. Many now have to be purchased on sights like Amazon if that is even possible now. “Innocence Betrayed” was a good one but it is no longer available on the internet. So I purchased it.
In closing everyone should learn from the mistakes of others for it is impossible to make them all yourself and live to tell about it.

I agree also with Arizona Don. If we don’t study and learn from REAL History ( Not 1619 ) WE will fall as a Republic.
It goes back several decades, in schools, when discipline was frowned upon. Let kids do what they want ,don’t embarrass or talk to loudly, Teacher might hurt them psychologically. Teachers lost control of the class room , learning went down and the Inmates were running the Asylum.
I know from personal experience,I taught (Shop Class) from 1973-2004 . Not to blow my horn , but I made All the other Disciplines relevant(Reading, Math, Science, History). I was Strict didn’t care what the Liberal Administration wanted! They hated it ,I was called on the carpet a lot! (Tenure really helped). I saw changes and was ready to get out but had too much invested and short time before retirement . I wanted to leave a positive impression of my field with as many kids as I could. My program was closed 4 years after I retired.
Today Kids are NOT Taught, they are Indoctrinated! They are Dumbed Down! Let someone else do it attitude! Now we’re paying for it. Our kids and grandkids will be running the Country someday. What do We want? What do You want? If the schools are not teaching Real History, Teach it! When you have a chance teach them some Home Repair techniques, the simple things, they surely will not get it in school.

Thank God that the filibuster works for Republicans as well as for Democrats! It’s quite probably the ONE THING that has so far precluded the advent of an authoritarian/totalitarian regime in this country (on the part of the Democrats, of course!).

Mitch has been ensuring legislation favorable to China passes through the senate. When we look at China and the fact that the C.I.A. in their second year of operation under Democrat President Harry Truman worked with British intelligence and ten Chinese families to take over China and install communism controlling the lives of over a billion Chinese people. Mao was chosen as the first puppet dictator of the new regime and installed on October 1 1949 after he willingly turned his own parents in to earn favor with the conquerors of the Chinese people. 50 million Chinese citizens were murdered by their own government within the first five years 200 million to date plus 400 million forced abortions due to China’s one child policy. Don’t forget the Muslim population the Ughars of Northern China where three million have disappeared into China’s system of reeducation centers a.k.a. prison camps where 75% will never be heard from again when they rebel against the brain washing. Barrack Obama had F.E.M.A. prepare such facilities in the U.S. to be used by a Hillary Clinton Communist Regime. I don’t know how tough it will be to replace all those Senate RINOs, but I do believe Bitch Cassidy, Lizard Murkowski and Unfit Mitt are gonna be gone next time they run. The most difficult part is to take them out in the primary with a strong conservative who can win the general.
